With so much “noise” on the web, I found that it’s becoming harder & harder to figure out what’s helpful and what’s a scam anymore. With technology moving so fast, more people are getting left in the dust by ever-changing systems and tools. The ole’ “what worked then, doesn’t work now” sorta thing.

This can be overwhelming as damaging to someone who is either trying to run, grow, or even just start their own business.

In the great country of USA, the land of the free, home of the brave and the “Land of Opportunity”…it’s been quite a challenge to get a business going whether it’s the economy, a political agenda, or just lack of the the “right” information.

With stories of internet scams and “nay-sayers” loose on the web, it can be very disheartening to those trying to make a better life for themselves and their families.

If unemployment is up, and families are out of work…starting their own business doesn’t seem possible because of a few misconceptions.

Some think that it takes a lot of money to start a business. Well, it some businesses…yes. But overall, that’s simply not true anymore.

Another very popular reason is people think that that need to have a business degree to start their own business…this is ANOTHER huge myth. Don’t get me wrong, just like anything, skills are key…

But there is a difference between a college business major and an Entrepreneur.

There are different traits, skills, and mindset, that an Entrepreneur needs to have and be willing to learn.

Right now, as of this post…October 19, 2012…

Is the greatest time to be an Entrepreneur, or as I call it…a “Modern Entrepreneur”.

A Modern Entrepreneur doesn’t need to rely on capital, location, business degrees or certifications, to start a business…

Just a few fundamental principles and you can be off and running.
